Got plans for SPRING BREAK? If your a college student, why not join RP48 serving orphans in Honduras this March? Located in The Village at 48 West, RP48 is a satellite campus of Ridge Point Community Church. We place a high value on putting our faith into action through serving others. As part of this high value we focus on serving the homeless locally and serving a small orphanage, church and school in Honduras. Our Honduras trip will focus on serving children at an orphanage and school. The orphanage has a boys dorm that needs completing, a dining/kitchen area that needs to be expanded and a security wall needs to be built round the home. The school that the children attend also needs some painting done in some new classrooms. In addition to addressing their physical needs, we’ll also spend a bunch of time with the children playing games and caring for them. You will fall in love with them as you develop new friendships! They love water balloon fights! We will have the opportunity to go sightseeing, shopping, zip lining and visiting an HIV/AIDS clinic for children. Our desire is that you will grow in your spiritual journey, establish a bunch of new friendships and learn to put others above yourself as you serve those in need. You are welcome to join this team regardless of where you are at in your spiritual journey – even if you don’t have one! We don’t force religion on anyone. However, we do ask that you participate in the group activities to keep our team atmosphere. Mission Trip Cost - Spring Break Trip Cost............ $1,250 Less Deposit.......... -300 * Trip deposit required Less Discount......... -250 * IF you meet qualifications. Remaining............ $700 You will be responsible for raising the additional funds needed. The Ridge Point missions team will assist you with letter writing. Typically those that take letter writing seriously have no problem raising support. People enjoy support a worthy cause, especially if it's some they know serving. If you give it your BEST shot and you're still having trouble raising support - scholarships are also available (see step #6). * Discount Qualifications: Full-Time College students are eligible to receive a 20% discount ($250) off the total cost IF all deadlines, team commitments and meetings are fulfilled.
