Thanks for making the first year of RP48 a great one! We will resume meeting in the fall. As I was reflecting on what God has done at RP48 – Here are a few highlights for the year…. Interested in going to Honduras? We are looking at the possibilities of a small July trip to Honduras with Jim Liske. Email Brian at brian@rp48.org if you are interested in going.
• We are averaging 30+ people a weekend!
• We served over 300 sandwiches to the homeless this year.
• God has expanded our Craig’s List band to a group of 15 musicians!
• We have had 15 worship services.
• 2 trips totaling 22 people going to Honduras!
• Kevin is moving to Honduras to serve Hogar de Amor for 3 months this summer.
• Students are starting to lead in missional activities at RP48.
• Students are planning our worship services
• We collected 2 huge boxes of clothes that we passed out to the homeless.
• We have the most amazing group of volunteers.
• In April we served over 400 burgers and hot dogs to the homeless downtown at Heartside Park!
It is so great to see God working and moving – thanks for letting God use you and being part of the ministry in Allendale.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Family Life Center – Allendale, MI Sticking around for the summer? We plan to adopt a room at the Family Life Center in Allendale. The Family Life Center houses single moms-to-be and after the baby is born for a period of 6 months. We want to develop and strengthen this relationship over the summer months. RP48 is a cause oriented relational experience. We are safe place to meet new friends, connect spiritually and help fix a broken world through experiences in Honduras, Grand Rapids, and everywhere in between. RP48 meets on Sundays at 11:30 in Theatre 48. At 12:30 we eat together – food’s free – and often serve together when we’re done. If you want to be involved in something bigger than yourself and do something your can’t do on your own, bring a friend and join us this Sunday.
